Riding the Tiger of Anger

Riding the Tiger of Anger

Happy 2016!

I wanted to share with you (because I think it is so darn important), the best article I have ever read on anger.

But why?

It would be easy for me to say “oh, this is an important issue that comes up for almost every client“. While that may be true (as children really know how to push every single button we have) the truth is that this is still a tiger that I sit upon (read the article to get the reference!).

It is interesting also the fear and shame to admit we, as parents, get so angry. It generates a whole bunch of thinking about our lack of worth as parents because this happens. Then guilt comes along for the ride, which leads to a low mood where anger is more likely to happen! What a crazy cycle!

Learning to ride the tiger of anger could be one of the hardest but most rewarding things we ever learn to do:
