The changes

If you have been following my work, you will have noticed that its gone a little quiet over at FureyCoaching. There are a few reasons for this:

1. I have found myself writing a great deal for magazines (see articles page!). I am surprised at how much time this has taken out of the blog schedule (er, all the time actually – opps!). I have also been writing primarily about the role of thought and mindfulness for parents, and to be honest – I love it. Totally love it. The work reminds me of this quote:

The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit. – Nelson Henderson

Working with parents is not just for now. It can change the lives of parents, and their children.

Which leads to:

2. I have been seriously thinking about what I love doing and why. As I have been writing, and talking to and for parents it became quite obviously to everybody (except me actually), that I am moving fields within coaching. This has taken quite a while to settle in and has taken a lot of thinking about what direction I want to move in.

Which leads to:

3. You. Remember when you need to tell someone something, and it seems so huge that the best approach appears to be just to stick your head in the sand and say “…hum, maybe I will talk to them later… they don’t need to know now“. Well I have <blush> been avoiding you! Yes, I am worried. Yes, I am realised that a whole bunch of you will hit the unsubscribe button as it will be clear that I will no longer be serving your unique needs. I hope however, that you stick around and find value in my new direction.

Which leads to:

This week. I am working on re-jigging my website to reflect these changes in my coaching practice. I will be focusing my work to serve parents and help them to transform their relationships with their child/ren.

I am still will working with clients on freelance issues, as it is a huge part of my life and my coaching practice, and it naturally weaves into work/ life balance issues for parents. Naturally, existing clients will still get the amazing Freelancer’s Coach package!

If you think I am absolutely out of my mind, or just want to have a conversation, or know of parents who what to transform their relationship with their child/ren, please feel free to contact me.

  1. Well done Tammy,
Llearning to listen to your heart and be aware enough to recognise what it is saying, and then do something about it it, takes strength! I won’t be unsubscribing, as I’m a big fan of mindfulness, and a parent to boot, so I’ll continue to recieve your newsletters and blog posts with interest. Go for it…you are stepping into you! x

    • Sue,
Thank you! This change feels really good and very natural (and listening to my heart did have a lot to do with it!).
